David joined NHS Improvement as Head of Pathology services consolidation in 2017, from his role as Director of Operations at Viapath covering Kings College Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals one of the UK's largest networked pathology services. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science, deputy chair of the IBMS Special Advisory Group for Clinical Chemistry. He has a diverse experience of providing pathology services to primary, secondary and tertiary care across all pathology disciplines.

Professor Evans is National Director for Clinical Productivity at NHS Improvement charged with co authoring and implementing the recommendations of Lord (Patrick) Carter's report on unwarranted variations in clinical and operational performance in NHS acute trusts in England. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and has been honorary Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to the Royal Army Medical Corps for more than 20 years. He is a Trustee of the Nuffield Trust and Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals' Charity, and a Board member and Trustee of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine.

Ciaran Fulton is Head of Diagnostics at LifeArc's Centre for Diagnostic Development (CDD) in Edinburgh. With over 15 years' experience in the molecular diagnostic IVD sector he gained his PhD in Molecular Biology at The Queen's University of Belfast and subsequently completed a number of post-doctoral positions at both Queen's and University College Cork where he was an associate lecturer.

Prior to joining LifeArc, Ciaran spent 10 years at Almac Diagnostics in various roles including managing both the company's Service and CLIA laboratories. He has also worked at the Molecular Biology Group at Randox Laboratories as a research scientist developing markers for use in breast cancer diagnostics.

As Head of Diagnostics, Ciaran has overall responsibility for the delivery of diagnostic development projects including all aspects of product development through to clinical evaluation as well as responsibility for the bioinformatics, quality and project management functions within LifeArc.
